On the back of beyond is this fantastic island-Santorini, which was on my “places to visit” list for so many years. Being thankful for the chance to visit it this summer i want to share you some photos from the hundreds i’ve taken.I had no words when i arrived in OIA,the most famous of all villages of Santorini. It is known throughout the world for its quiet life and fantastic sunsets.Oia is situated on top of an impressive cliff and offers a spectacular view over the volcano of Palia and Nea Kameni and the island of Thirassia. It is a traditional village with charming houses in narrow streets, blue domed churches, and sun-bathed verandas.

Moving on to Fira, the capital of the island. It can be found on the west coast of the island, on the caldera cliffs opposite the volcano, which can be seen from every point.

And you know what? the best words for describing Santorini would be: the place where life stops for a minute. No movement, just a breathtaking view of the horizont from a hight of 250 metres above the sea level.

I am extremly happy now, while writing this post but at the same time- sad, as i already miss it.

I promise i will be back soon, Santorini! ❤
